Looking for the perfect photo for your blog or website?

To help you find them, I’ve compiled a short list of 5 terrific sources of high-quality, free photos.

1. Pixabay

On Pixabay you may find and share images free of copyrights. All pictures are released under Creative Commons CC0 into the public domain.

You can copy, modify, distribute, and use the images, even for commercial purposes, all without asking for permission or giving credits to the artist. However, depicted content may still be protected by trademarks, publicity or privacy rights.

Pixabay is one of the best resources for stock photos and it’s super easy to find the images you’re looking for.

2. Pexels

Pexels provides high quality and completely free stock photos licensed under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license. All photos are nicely tagged, searchable and also easy to discover through the discover pages.

Currently, it covers over 25,000 free stock photos. And every month at least 3,000 new high-resolution photos will be added. All photos are hand-picked from photos uploaded by the users or sourced from free image websites.

3. Unsplash

Unsplash offers high-resolution images for you to study and perhaps use. The photos presented here are unmatched in quality and 100% free– no attribution, no membership, and no stipulations on where you can use it. You can also subscribe to Unsplash for 10 new photos delivered to your inbox every 10 days.

4. Designerspics

Photos found on DesignersPics are given free of copyright by photographer, web designer and developer Jeshu John. Attribution is requested but not required.

Even if the size of the gallery is rather small you could still find some gorgeous free images for your website.

5. Jay Mantry

I absolutely love his style! The way it takes simple things and turns them into something so beautiful and expressive it’s just so amazing.

Every Thursday, Jay Mantri shares seven new high-quality photos. Use the images in whatever way you’d like, and don’t worry about attribution. Lonely, moody, and spacious, these images are great for atmosphere.

We are at the end of today’s list. I will make sure to post more websites with free photos in the next days. And of course, if you have a suggestion please share it with me!
